Dear Friends,

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 8, 2025, as we celebrate ICA Miami's newly relaunched gala, the Evening in the Garden. Please join us for a celebration of our museum and its educational impact, and a celebratory night of cocktails, followed by a seated dinner and auction, and then our after-party.

This year, our honorees Margot and George Greig set the evening's festive tone. As Board President, Margot is a beacon of our community and a friend and mentor to so many of our Trustees. Together, the Greigs have led in two of ICA Miami's campaigns, and every day their wisdom, humor and generosity positively impact Miami — not to mention their contributions in the fields of education and health.

Our eleventh Gala celebration coincides with ICA Miami's expansion, a significant community endeavor that so many of us have worked on in order to accomplish. This is a seminal moment to support ICA Miami's future: You can make your reservation today by purchasing a table or individual tickets. Please also consider purchasing an ad in the Commemorative Journal honoring the Greigs.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to a fabulous evening with you on March 8.

Best wishes,

About the Honorees

Margot & George GreigMargot & George Greig

Margot & George Greig

We are delighted to honor Margot and George Greig for their inspiring leadership at ICA Miami and their extraordinary dedication to the arts and our community.

Margot Greig first joined ICA Miami's Board a decade ago, as we opened in our temporary space in the Moore Building. Throughout these crucial years, their wisdom and generosity have been foundational to our growth. For the past five years, Margot has served as President of the museum's Board. In this capacity, she has steered the museum's development, expertly coordinated our gatherings, and provided invaluable insight into major initiatives. For the last three years, George has served on the museum's Investment Committee, offering expert counsel informed by his accomplished career in international finance.

During these ten years, ICA Miami has experienced tremendous growth in our audience and organizational strength, none of which could have been accomplished without the Greig' vision and support. When we opened our permanent home in 2017, the Greigs named the primary staircase, both the essential artery through the building and a monumental site where we have offered a magnificent large-scale tableau for site-specific artworks by Odili Donald Odita, Anne Collier, Nina Chanel Abney and now Lucy Bull. In 2023, the Greigs made an impactful second commitment that has crucially supported our operations and, excitingly, our expansion!

Margot is universally appreciated on our Board, where she has generously contributed her time to our Executive, Acquisitions, Nominating, Gala, and Development Committees. She has also been a fantastic supporter of scholarships for teen graduates of ICA Miami's after-school programs, helping them advance to the schools of their choice.

The Greigs' lives are imbued with their love of art, and we are so fortunate they are so generous to welcome our community into their fabulous world. We have traveled the globe with them, they have hosted us in London, and they have introduced us to so many of their fabulous friends and colleagues through their infectious support of the museum.

Support for creativity, and an appreciation for new and open ways of thinking, is central to Margot and George and their lives. Previously, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, George served as a Trustee and Margot was a member of the Women's Board for over a decade. There, they created the Margot and W. George Greig Ascendant Artist Fund, which supported emerging artists at critical points in their careers. Margot is also a former trustee of the Colorado Rocky Mountain School. Both have been supporters of the Tate, with George serving on the Photography Council and Margot on the Americas Foundation.

The Greigs are also deeply involved with public health in the Carribean. Alongside the significant health work of their daughter, ICA Miami patron Elizabeth, the Greigs funded Project Medishare Greig Maternity Center, an initiative that has helped to reduce maternal mortality rates in Marmont, Haiti, from the highest in the Western Hemisphere to zero.

The Greigs are joined in their creativity by three children—Elizabeth and her husband Jason, Laura, and William Jr.—each of whom is engaged in the arts in their path. Their two fabulous young grandchildren Jane and Alexander will undoubtedly continue the family story!
